The Indian rain dance is a ceremonial ritual performed by various Native American tribes, primarily in the Southwest, to invoke rain and ensure agricultural success. Participants often wear traditional attire, including painted faces and ceremonial costumes. The dance involves specific movements and songs that are believed to communicate with the spirits to bring rain Now you know what to do the next time you need rain and get someone to bang a drum for you

The Native Americans has some pretty neat dancing for their ceremonies. I love watching them. I taught my grandchildren a song to get rain. We would say "Hey ya ho ho, hey ya ho ho, RAIN, RAIN, RAIN" They would get the biggest kick from tht. One day it actually starting raining while they were singing. It was so funny to see the looks on their faces.

@RasmaSandra I knew that it was suppose to rain and I didn't think much about it. Maybe their dance did bring rain. I just told them that they could do it and they did.

@Deepizzaguy Heck, if I didn't have a bum knee and someone banged a drum for me I would even try this good exercise.

I was about ready this last summer to do one of these when we were without rain for so long. I am part Cherokee.

If I did it that would just ensure we DIDN’T get rain.
