I did have something I wanted to talk about this morning, but I forgot what it was. It may come to me, as I am doing other things. It's funny how those things go. I am going to venture out on the roads today, wish me luck. The worst ones will be right in the development I am sure, but they can't be that bad at this point can they? It will be reasonably warm today in the upper 30's with the sun out so that should help. OH I remember what it was, I put my fake Tiffany lamp shade in the dishwasher. I am hoping it is gleaming when It comes out. I nver thought of putting shades or globes in the DW got the idea from Lou. Seems an easy way to clean them though. The ones with the ceiling fan definitely need washed. Have you ever put any glass globes in the DW?

Hmm, I don't think this one will break because it is pretty heavy duty with the ones in the living room, I should probably try one. I have a big globe in here too that could really use a nice cleaning. It is thick glass should be fine.

@snowy22315 - I never dared to try again, my crystal glasses were all destroyed by the dishwasher.

@snowy22315 - I never put inside the glasses with a stem, but I thought that those without stem were safe even if crystal, I was wrong.

Yes, I have washed some globes to lamps, lights, etc. in the DW. When I do, I put it on a light wash and don't use the heated dry option. I haven't had any break when I did this.

It came out fine. I think the secret is putting in a heavy duty glass.
