The British Guiana 1 cent Stamp

The British Guiana 1 cent Magenta is widely regarded as the rarest and most valuable stamp in the world. The stamp shows a sailing ship with the Latin motto "Damus Petimus Qui Vicissim" (We give and expect in return) surrounding it. It was originally printed as a temporary local issue and was used for newspaper postage. There is only a single known example in existence, and it has reached tens of millions of dollars at auction. 1856 was it's year of birth I wonder how many Brits wrote home from there with that stamp on the letter. Everyone with an ancient relative should now be looking through family paperwork etc
