Some More News Out About the New Buffy,the Vampire Slayer TV Series Continuation

Movie Minute Reviews dropped some news about the continuing saga of the new Buffy, the Vampire Slayer television series that Hulu has been producing. I enjoyed the original series for so many reasons and was a bit excited to see that Hulu might be bringing a new series out. They have been working on it for several years now. The writers and producers of the show finally got Sara Michell Gellar to come on board. She wanted to be sure they weren't just going to cash in on nostalgia, that they kept the story and didn't mess with the premise of the show and how it ended. A pilot was ordered. That was the last I heard until this. They now have a name for the show, and it is: Buffy, the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale. The main character is Nova who is a shy and bookie type and Sunnydale has been rebuilt after some 25 years or so. There is a week-end festival celebrating the towns dark history and a couple of vampires wanting to take over. Buffy will be Nova's mentor who has a recurring roll. The pilot is supposed to drop sometime this year and if it gets a good response it will continue. Sad that we won't have Willow's witchiness and Xander's funniness but we will see what this new one has to offer.
