So, December /January people make a lot of resolutions ……some are kept, many are broken.
One of the most popular New Year’s resolutions is to join a gym …..
Have you ever joined a gym ?
Was it a New Year’s resolution ?
Was there another reason ?
How long did you continue at the Gym ?
Just for the record …..I know I should exercise more , I’ve not been so active since my accident ….but I have never joined a gym ….i think they are expensive and don’t fancy spending hours in a room with other sweaty , red faced strangers …..

Are you paying for the gym if you still belong to it. ?

@Traceyjayne No, I get it for free. However, my husband pays for a different gym and goes occasionally.

I never joined a gym as a new years resolution. I have no interest in going to the gym now (too old) but I do try to get in some sort of exercise every day even if it's just doing more steps and trying to get up and move more.,

I stayed in the campus on a national law university. so there was a gym where students used the equipments. I used to use them a lot. Later on when I joined the present university, I am detached from gym

I never fooled myself into thinking that I would actually ever go to a gym; so I never joined. Now I can't physically handle exercise.

Yes, I joined a gym for several years when I was getting divorced from my first wife. When the lawyer was taking most of my money, I saved up and bought a home gym and still have it. Since I've not been feeling well, I haven't used any of the gym equipment but Pretty does use it.
If something the doctor do help me feel better, I will probably start using the gym equipment at home again.

I have had a gym membership for probably over 20 years now. I like to workout on an almost daily basis, not only to maintain my physical appearance, but it's a great stress release for me as well. I usually go late at night when there is hardly anyone else at the gym.

In 2002, and part of that was to join the basketball league. I had one around 2008 until I hurt my ankle. Never went back. A few months ago, there was a stationery bike on the side of the road. I did cycle a bit for a few weeks, but then went 10 days with horrible sleep, and now I wonder "What's the point?". There was one reason I used it, but it had nothing to do with getting in shape, etc... Kinda disgusting, so I'll just leave it there
