What "trash" television do you watch?

Let’s be honest — none of us are above a little trash TV. At some point, we’ve all gotten pulled into a show we’d never admit to loving out loud. For a lot of us, it started way back in the day when we were home sick from school, flipping channels and landing on the chaotic drama of Jerry Springer or Maury. (And let’s be real — some of us still catch those reruns when they pop up.) Lately, we’ve been watching 90 Day Fiancé and Love After Lockup, which sent me down a rabbit hole thinking about all the wonderfully messy reality TV that’s existed over the years. There have been hundreds — maybe thousands — of these shows in the last few decades, so there’s no shortage of guilty pleasures to choose from. For me, Love After Lockup is definitely my current vice. I only started watching because my sister was into it, but now I’m fully hooked and way too invested in seeing how all these stories play out. So tell me — what’s the show you can’t look away from, even if you probably should? What “less-than-stellar” TV has sucked you in lately?

I think Ridiculousness has to be it. And they can take crass to a new level, that’s for sure. Oh, there used to be a kid’s show, and it definitely counts as a guilty pleasure because it was definitely for tweens. It was iCarly. No, it’s not a trashy show, but it IS a weird choice for a grown woman to watch, even if it was just in in the background.

@AmbiePam it was pretty good. Very cute. And Freddie and Carly finally end up together.

I've been known to have it on for background noise. In the last year or so. They came back and did a couple seasons of them as adults and it was actually pretty cute. My other one would be Girl Meets World.

We are guilty of watching what many people would consider boring TV. Son and I both love Josh Gates shows. We like history stuff that delves into things we never knew. We enjoy some old movies. My Dad used to work in Alaska, and we lived there for a short while when I was small. So I enjoy watching shows based there sometimes. His job was an engine specialist at the time, and he built and installed engines for the bigger fishing boats. So we watch Deadliest Catch (can have a lot of trash talk, for sure) and another homesteading show based in Alaska that I don't remember the name of. Like I said, we are boring with our selections, I'm sure.

@thislittlepennyearns I really can’t think of any current shows that I can term as trashy, but hey, that doesn’t mean someone else wouldn’t think they are. I loved the new show “The Pitt” and sometimes like documentaries and biographies. Told ya, to many people those are boring!

Like Marie, we watch boring shows too. My SIL loves Married at First Sight but I can't imagine watching anything worse.
