My sad little plant!

This plant has only been in my possession for two days.
I thought I would treat myself, and ordered it on Walmart delivery, and this is the plant they brought me.
I would have already taken it back, but I've been so sick, which was the reason I bought it in the first place. I thought it would cheer me up, but all it did was make me feel worse.
It cost 6.00 and I'm cheering for it to live, but I don't think so.
Do you have a sad plant story?

Call Walmart and tell them the plant they delivered is dying. They have a guarantee that plants you buy from them are healthy. The return policy for indoor plants at Walmart can be anywhere between 30 and 90 days. Call them and complain about it even if you're still feeling too sick to take it back right now.
Edit to add: I quit trying to keep poinsettias alive years ago. They'll live through the holiday and then die a week or two later no matter how many times I've tried to keep one alive. (I think I've tried three times with that type of plant.) I also can't grow African violets. A friends who owns a greenhouse checked out our house after I told him I can't keep them alive and he told me the air vents in the ceiling are the problem. I haven't tried growing African violets since we moved into this house.

@misunderstood_zombie When you call, ask them to mark you down in their books as having a problem. They may ask for the ID number on the receipt you got with your plant. The one they will ask for is labeled the TC#.
Greenhouses keep them alive for another year if they're a small company that didn't sell all the plants they bought. (Places like Walmart will throw them in the trash compactor a couple of weeks after they put them on sale, though. They don't want anyone to get them for free so crush them.)

That's a good idea, because I figured by the time I was well enough to go to Walmart they will be plant skeletons. I'll call them and let them know I'm coming, and that will help relieve my anxiety.
I don't know anyone who has kept a poinsettia alive for long. I thought they were annuals.

@DaddyEvil Ok, thank you. That is so mean, they should discount them greatly.

It's been in the kitchen window, and right now it's not cold so I hope that helps.

@misunderstood_zombie - May be, I was not happy when I received this plant, I know that they need good cares.
