Haven’t mentioned something rather important

Our younger son got engaged last year as a sign of his commitment to his girlfriend. On their first date he told her that he had no interest in ever marrying again or having children. She agreed. She wanted an oval shaped diamond, which is the thing to do in France where she was born and raised. The only caveat was that the diamond had to be larger than his wife’s. If my photo loads, that’s the proposal in a magical fairyland followed by a romantic dinner.

Wow, I'm surprised. I hope this is the magical union. Beautiful photo. Who took it? I'm just nosy, you don't have to answer.

So far, so good. Only time will tell. He set up his camera on a tripod and set a timer.

Thanks so much. I guess one doesn’t really need to be married these days. On another note, my son mentioned that she’s been online looking at venues for getting married in the French lavender fields

I hope he thought her diamond comment was funny and not presumptuous! I wish for them that they have a tremendously long and happy life together.

There won’t be a wedding according to him. They have an agreement that if they break up, she will return the ring to him. However, she has been looking online for a wedding venue in the lavender fields of France.

I'm so happy that he has found someone to make him happy. I hope he changes his mind about marrying again. Still I'm very happy for him. It has been 7 years for me and I haven't even gone out on a date.

Thank you. She’s been looking into the lavender fields in France for a small family wedding. He laughs every time he tells us, so who knows. I can’t believe it’s been 7 years already. Do you still get together? Has he moved on?

@DianneN I don't ask bc I don't want to know anything that will hurt me. He was here a couple of months ago putting up my new TV. We are fine but I dont want to know about the rest of it.
