Well, today and tomorrow will both be escape days. I can't wait. Errands have really stacked up due to my immobility. We better not have a winter like this again, anytime soon. It was quite cold last night so the schools here on still on a 2 hour delay. The bus went by just about 15 minutes ago. However, when I was a kid it was always cold in the winter,,,and this would have been nothing to us. I only remember schools cancelling maybe once or twice due to cold. We would just bundle up and trot off to the bus stop. When we were little though we wore snow pants to the bus stop. Did the weather stop you from going to school when you were young?

We didn't go only if it snowed and drifted. Cold was not a reason to cancel. But they do here anymore too

We would have snow days maybe once or twice a year when I was young..none of this schools being closed for a week or any of that stuff.I think the longest I can remember them being closed was 2 or 3 days in a row and that was pretty rare.

@snowy22315 We were closed about 2 weeks one time. But that was after a blizzard hit. Usually a day or two was all here. Just to get the plowing done

Now, we would have a snow day once or twice per winter, but we never stopped more than once or twice due to cold. Kids and parents in the North know how to bundle up.

Yes, I haven't been out other than to walk to the car or check the perimeter of the house for a week.

Alexa told me this morning it was a sunny 2 degrees. I don't remember temperatures being so below the freezing mark even when I was a kid. I know we always had cold winters but this seems even colder.
Hope you enjoy your "big" escape today. I don't have any exciting plans for today and nowhere to go. It's just another inside day for me.

It is not really going to be a fun day, I just have some errands to do and will get my haircut.
