An Update on the Potato Drop Incident

I got an email/newsletter today talking about the incident that took place New Year's Eve downtown. The little girl that was hurt by glass after an explosion. The Boise City Council has met but the story said nothing about the outcome of that meeting. Just ran a copy of the incident that was in the Idaho Statesman and that the Idaho Potato Drop CEO, Dylan Cline made some comments and among them that the Potato Drop would not be held in Boise again. He made some curse filled remarks about the City of Boise and mayor Lauren McLean. As of the posting of that article the writer said he would keep us updated and let us know where the next drop would be held. I don't go to them and just watch them on TV but it says in the article that the drop had been moved to the Capitol steps from where it had been previously. I think that was a bad move and that it should be done out away from buildings. I hope they can refigure this and that the drop will happen again this year. It is a famous celebration and is seen around the country, so I hope it continues. I guess we will see. The little girl is doing fine and is recovering at home playing Mario Cart. Her vision must not be too bad.
