Scary Ocean

United States

Two things scare me concerning our oceans. One are killer whales. The way they hunt together as a group is terrifying. No one stands a chance when they come after you, and they have been known to sink fishing boats. Number two is the depth of the seas. This is more scary than deep space to me. It would be hard for me to be in a boat over the Mariana Trench. What scares you about oceans? Picture is Pixabay.

What scares me most is the way we humans pollute the ocean and kill wildlife in it. That is the scariest thing of all

I agree, this is very scary the way plastic and garbage is just dumped in the ocean with any regard to the animals and ecosystems.

@misunderstood_zombie when you see the amount of plastic washed up on the shore you know it's really serious.

Nothing. I've never been out on the ocean so there's no reason to be scared of it. I have no plans to go on the ocean, either.

@misunderstood_zombie It's silly to worry about things like that. Do you know the odds of a meteor hitting the Earth? And the meteor hitting the ocean and causing a tsunami in the US?

Good idea, just stay away from it and hope a comet doesn't hit like in the movie Deep Impact, and you will be fine.

@DaddyEvil I agree, if we worried about every little thing that could happen we would never get out of bed to face the day. I was just kidding around.

@misunderstood I have been to both oceans. The Pacific ocean was when I was very young. The Atlantic Ocean was when I was in my 50's. Thank goodness I didn't have any bad experiences.

This is always scary in the movies, so I would be very scared of that.

Nothing. I don't know why but nothing scares me. We got stranded in an open sea in a very small fishing boat several years ago. The engine stopped working and we were stranded for two hours. The only people who didn't get scared at that time was me, my son (9 years old) and husband. My MIL and the rest of the passengers were really scared, and some kids were cryings. Open seas and known to have sharks. Water was quite deep. I have always been a sea lover ever since I was a kid.

My dad was also like this and wasn't afraid of anything. He was a person who was scared of nothing, and he had a daughter who was scared of everything. lol

I am afraid by deep water, so everything scares me about the oceans.

What scares me of oceans is sharks in the water.

@misunderstood_zombie Not in Lake Charles since the closest ocean is the Gulf Of America in Cameron Parish which is south of Lake Charles.

Sharks are indeed very scary. Do you live near the ocean?

Humans are catching all the fish from the oceans and the killer whales are getting even with us.
