How can you tell if a specific thing is not for you?

I planned to be an English tutor in this specific company. I already applied and had an orientation. The last thing that I need to do is download a specific platform that the company is using and then set a date for the final demo. When I attended the orientation, I had second thoughts because of their terms and conditions. I am still a student, and I am afraid that I will mess up. But I continued it anyway. Besides, I still have a final demo to attend to, so I said to myself that if it is for me, I will pass the final demo, but if it is not, then they will fail me, of course. The funny thing is, aside from having second thoughts, my mom is quite against it, because she wanted me to focus first on my Thesis because I need to pass, because I am graduating, then, while downloading the platform, my account keeps messing with me... It is 12:35 am here in our country, and my employer is probably asleep already. So, everything that is happening is giving me a reinforcement that maybe I should listen to my mom. But I'll still try later. How about you? How can you tell if a specific thing is not for you?

Sometimes the signs all seem to say one thing but you will also face problems whether something is right or wrong for you. It's a hard decision to make sometimes.

Sometimes you can't tell until you try something and don't like it after all. I was pressured into working for a site online just because I'm good at talking to people. After I started working online, I didn't like it. (I have vision problems that can keep me from seeing clearly for days at a time.) Then the person that pressured me into taking the job wouldn't let me do the job I was hired for according to the site rules. HE could make exceptions and overrule anything I did... I finally "went limp" and stopped trying to do the job at all and was fired. That suited me fine.

I usually pray about it, and ask God if something is not for me (even a relationship), to put roadblocks in my way to clearly show me I should look for a different answer. You have a good head on your shoulders; I know you’ll make the right decision.

You should ALWAYS listen to your mom. Lol
