Why can’t people just buy stuff !

Yet again I have been messed about when I am trying to sell something.
So, I can get puzzle books, brand new , and I have sold three or four sets to a person in Cornwall.
He asked if I could get reading books. I couldn’t at the time but can get some now.
He told me some of the authors he was interested in,
I got five books….packed them and took them to the post office to find out how much postage would be.
I got home and messaged him with a price.
These are brand new books, popular and current. I was charging a great price which included postage.
He said it was too much he only wanted to pay £1 each. And wanted more than 10.
Neither of those conditions were in the brief !
When I said you won’t get new books that should be 10.99 each for just £1. He said I know ……
Then why mess me about.
Honestly some people !

He may not have that much but was hoping you could sell them cheap. I don't have any income so can't buy books. There is always the hope that somebody can sell them cheap, though.

Simply because if they wanted to pay more than they would by going to the book store themselves, they feel robbed. When trying to buy from a third-party, or independant seller, they're loooking for a deal. But, a dollar a book, for ten books, I can see why that'd be annoying.
