The Watusi is a popular dance from the early 1960s. It is characterized by simple, rhythmic movements and was inspired by the traditional dances of the Tutsi people of Africa. The dance gained widespread popularity in the United States, particularly after the release of Ray Barretto's song "El Watusi," which helped it become a dance craze during that era.

I remember this but it wasn't as big a hit as the twist as I recall.

The song and dance of the Watusi is good. I believe that the Batman television show had a dance called The Batusi.
