Police in Canada have reported that nine people have been killed in a mass shooting at a school and home in the rural community of Tumbler Ridge in British Columbia.
25 people were also injured, and the suspect's body was found at the scene.
Absolutely shocking
The suspect is a British National born in the UK.
Only about 3000 people live there ,
Would never have thought such a thing could happen there
Thoughts with all those who lost a loved one and with the injured people also

This type of thing happens way too often. I wish there was an easy solution. We need to pay more attention to those that are having mental challenges.

@Ineeddentures Many of us in the US have one in our homes for protection. It's a whole different world here in the US.

Really sad when people feel the need to need a gin for protection

I suppose it would be easy enough to get one here
I think the difference is that very few of us would want one

I have read the news in the morning. The suspect is an 18-year-old woman who was born biologically male and transitioned about six years ago. This person had a history of mental health problems. I think it's a mistake not to keep them in hospitals when they are potentially dangerous.

I think transgenderism does associate with mental health issues.
Not knowing what one is must be difficult to cope with

@Ineeddentures You are right. It’s been a long time since I have been here. I was even surprised myself how long I was gone on Mylot.

I've heard the news on tv. It's so shocking. I don't know why some people start firing randomly at others.
