Woke up to the news that this guy whom I used to watch on a tv show, Dawson's Creek, passed away.
Back in the 80s or 90s, when we heard someone got diagnosed with cancer, we considered them good as dead. We thought nobody could ever survive it.
Then the number of cancer survivor started increasing and gave us hope.
But then again, like any other battle, with cancer, sometimes we win and sometimes we lose.
Farewell James Van Der Beek.

Sadly though it's thought that 2 out of every 3 of us will get cancer at some point
I don't know Dawson's Creek

Yeah, you don't watch tv. I was a university student when it was shown. One of my favorites.

@LadyDuck Indeed. I have an Instagram friend who's a colon cancer survivor. I think she's in her late 60s now. She'd regularly have a check up and fortunately, until now she's still cancer free.

Same here. I was in my teens as well and enjoyed the show a lot. Though Dawson wasn't my favorite character in the show.
It's sad that the kids will grow up without a dad.

I read about this. It's a pity he was so young. RIP.

I never saw that show and I wasn't really familiar with this actor, but he was young and it's sad
