Poor Scotland, seen from across the water.

Much of Scotland is under snow today, at least on the west coast. I know this not because of the weather girl who is nice and bouncy yet somehow full of meteorological untruths, but because I have seen the evidence myself.
Although I’m in a whole other country, I see Scotland most clearly, especially in the crystal clear light of a clean and sunlit spring morning. The snow on the western mountains is thick and shimmering in the sunshine yet here we have nothing other than a meagre skein of snow on the hills around Ballyclare which will be gone by lunch time.
My garden is twinkling in the year’s first real blast of sunshine. The snowdrops are out and the daffodils are up and ready to burst into bloom and spread over my lawn like butter on toast.

We have snow and about an inch of ice from the melting that occurred the other day and then refroze. The weather will be warming a bit in the next couple of days; and we are hoping that the last of the ice and snow will eventually be gone. I'm glad flowers are beginning to bloom for you.

It's good that you can see God's Country so well my friend.
Thankfully here on the East Coast of Caledonia Alba Scotdlandia there is now snow and the sun is shining.
The snowdrops and daffodils in your garden are much further on than ours.
Butter on toast..Yes please
