I blocked somebody's number for my own peace

There's this academic coordinator in the college where I go as a Visiting Faculty. I am not their regular faculty, just once a week I go and deliver lecture of my subject. Still, this lady behaves weirdly. As if she owns the college. Her tone is rude and her stance is very authoritative. At times, she forgets that she is also just another employee. I hate her and tend to avoid her, yet she would purposely get into my nerves. She would call multiple times to check, whether I have checked the assignments, set the question papers, etc etc. Whereas evert tasks has its own timeline and it gets done accordingly. So, last week, I blocked her number and then there's total peace. She tried reaching out, I told her some network issue in my area....this way, I am able to maintain my sanity. People could be damn annoying, at times.

It does sound like she was overstepping her authority. Blocking her sounds like the best choice. I hope things go better for you now.

@Rimps85 I've had bosses like that. They should have left me alone and let me do my job.

What you did was absolutely right. If. I were you, I would have done the same.It is very frustrating to keep in contact with such an arrogant person. I'm not on social media.

I do not blame you at all! It’s a shame you had to go that far, but she seems not to have a clue!

yep, she has not upgraded herself to the latest technologies...her students often fool her with AI generated assignment, and she is clueless

Good for you, I would hate her too. I went in a store today that I have been avoiding because I don't like one of the clerks that works there. I was forced to stop there today, but I just got one thing, and not the two I was thinking of. so I could minimize my interaction with her. I was hoping she wasn't working today, but unfortunately she was. I managed to get out of there without getting mad.
