So , up early as we had to take Grandson to football….he is only there for an hour so we decided to stay and watch today …..sometimes we go for breakfast. We were told last night it was cancelled as the weather was bad and expected to get worse….someone checked the field at the crack of dawn and said it was ok….we didn’t get the message til late so had ten minutes to be up, washed, dressed and out. We dropped him home and took Granddaughter to dance. She is still having trouble with her contact lens and had broken her glasses. Whilst she was in dance we took the glasses to be repaired. She needed new frames and she had to be there so they could fit them properly. We went for a breakfast …to a new place. It was ok. We picked her up from dance and took her to the opticians. NHS pay the first £70. Her frames were £130 so The Mister ended up paying £60. ( no we were not told that when we were asked to take them to be repaired ). A trip to two shops we passed…resulted in Granddaughter having sweets and two pairs of pyjamas….. We dropped her back home. We are home now having a drink, and a warm, before going to do some of our own shopping. Some days I don’t know if I’m coming or going. What have you been up to today ?

That sounded like a full day before you went back to do your own shopping. It stormed twice during the night and is raining now. It's a cool-ish day. I turned the heat up in the house since I was chilly. I'm sure Pretty will turn it back down when she wakes up. (I was shivering under my blanket.) The temp outside is 12C with a RealFeel of 7C. With the rain, it feels much chillier. I have bread dough rising in the kitchen and will go back in and make rolls in a little while. They'll have to rise again before I can bake them.

@Traceyjayne I used to make it all the time but one doctor told me to stop because I'm pre-diabetic... I still eat bread so I don't understand why she wanted me to stop making it. We'll have homemade rolls tonight.

Of course, you guys ended up paying the rest of the cost for the glasses. What a coincidence you guys were asked to do it. You and your Mister are dear, long suffering people!

@Traceyjayne I don’t like the way she treats you guys. It bothers me when people take advantage of their good hearted loved ones.

Yes I thought that …..she asked if we had sorted the glasses and The Mister said …..yes, with the £60 to pay. She asked if the NHS pay and he explained they only pay the first £70 and these were £130 frames. She simply replied “ it’s a nightmare isn’t it “…..these are the second lot of frames so she knew perfectly well about the amount to be paid ….. You are getting to know her ways now aren’t you …..

I'm glad my life is basically boring. I'm doing nothing today. As soon as I'm done here I will probably find something to eat; and then I will wrap up in my blanket and watch TV or try to sleep.
