The documentary "Melania" actually exceeded initial expectations. It made somewhere between $13.5 and $14.3 million after two weekends. It is projected to finish its theatrical run make between $16-$20 million.
With a total investment of about $75 million the film is expected to lose money at the theaters, but it is seen as a "long-term streaming play" for Amazon MGM Studios.
Theater owners who showed the documentary get to keep half of the ticket sales, so the studio is walking away with about $10 million. Amazon paid $40 million to acquire it and then about another $35 million to advertise.
What these idiots won't do to stay in the Putz' good graces never ceases to amaze me.

I read that it is either the producer or director of "Melania" was on The Epstein List.

I read one story that said many of the ticket sales were made to give away to politicians and others so it looked like sales were good

@DianneN ........I could never live in Florida. To hot and muggy for this ole gal. I saw an AI produced stream on YouTube that portrayed the feds coming and taking Mar-a- logo and Trump had to leave. I loved it! Scads of appraisers and art dealers coming in and appraising all those huge pictures. Now we're talking. That's what should be going on.
