Pancakes for pudding today …..

It is Pancake Day on Tuesday, but The Mister will be at work and I won’t be going to Moms until later in the week, so, my lovely Mom thought ahead and made pancakes for our pudding today, so that we could all have them together. Our pancakes are thinner than the ones Americans have. I’d say that in comparison ours are more like crepes. Anyway, I had lemon juice and sugar on mine. The Mister and my Mom have maple syrup on theirs. Do you have pancakes on Pancake Day ? Are they home made or shop bought ? What toppings do you have ?

When Pretty was little, I'd make homemade pancakes for her. She likes syrup on them. I don't like/eat pancakes. After she was a teenager, I taught her how to make her own... Sometimes she'll make them homemade and sometimes she buys a box mix and makes them that way.

@Traceyjayne Pretty won't make anything from scratch. She used to help me do that but isn't interested when she's the only one cooking.

I don’t really have pancakes often. The last time I did had to be at a restaurant, but it must have been at least fifteen years ago.

@Traceyjayne There is a designated Pancake Day, but I don’t think it’s widely celebrated. People here love pancakes; I’m just not into sugary breakfasts anymore. Too much sugar these days makes me feel sick.

Vince makes a mean pancake but they're really crepes. He is a dab hand at tossing them.

I love pancakes but it was a long time ago that I made them. I usually put apples in my pancakes and top them with honey.

Yes, my Mom said that next time she is going yo put apple in them. We still have some left over from last year, from our tree in our garden. They have lasted really well.

@Traceyjayne Yes. Try putting grated apples in your pancake batter. Your kitchen will smell so delicious.
