Hello everyone, how are you all doing? I thought I would share another grade check update on Eli. He's improving which is very good news. Nothing bad to say about his school work this week. The best news of all, he's passing English now. Still a D, but he is improving. He turned in reading responses, which in the past those were always something he would not get done. He has not been graded on the homework assignment yet, so I am hoping he turned it in. I know for a fact he got that completed. If she does grade that, he may be close to a C! His science grade went up from a 76% to a 79% - still a C but improving too. The other three classes stayed the same, but they also have not been upgraded on the website in a week or longer. So not sure what those grades will be. He has 3 more weeks in home ec and then he'll switch over to art class. His last explore class of the year. Next year he'll get to pick his own electives. I wonder what he'll want to do - I think he was interested in shop. If there was an elective computer class I know he'd love that. What do you think about his work? I think he should be proud of himself, hopefully he'll keep up with the good work in ELA so he can pass. Photo is mine, Eli a couple summers ago. He used to wear hats all the time. This one was his great-grandpa's.

thank you...and from school, or from us? From us, we could give him a little bonus to an allowance. He wants to build his own computer so he does chores and such to earn money towards it...

As long as he’s giving real effort, that is what matters most.

Well true, but also don't want him failing. But he's past that as long as he gets everything else turned in.

@MommyOfEli2013 No way should he fail. If he’s really trying his best, he won’t fail. We know he can do better. We know it.

@AmbiePam Well if he don't turn in assignments, he will fail. But I know all the work he does is passing all his classes-worthy

Glad you like his hat. It is good, though the teacher mixed up the grades, so waiting to see his true english grade.

At least Eli is learning from his errors in his school work.

Well now he told me the teacher put the wrong grades in, she put that he had a 100 percent on an assignment that should have only been 50 percent, and then it shows the other that he did finish hasn't even been turned in. So guess we'll see when that gets updated what his grade really is.

He'll do great, as long as he gets his assignments completed and turned in! He's smart enough to get all A's I believe. He's done better with getting things done this week.

I think he’s doing a great job. Love the fact that he’s making the effort and being rewarded with improving grades.

I guess the teacher put the wrong grades in, so he doesn't have a true 66% but he is improving and that is what matters.
