People have spoken of history in truth and fiction from the beginning, but what is considered the first historian was Herodotus (c. 484–425 BC). He tried to separate fact from fiction for the first time and became known as the 'father of history.' It's funny because when I think of history in400 BC, I conclude wrongly that not much history has happened compared to present day, but to the people living at the time, I'm sure their history was abundant and so very important to them. I know many people who hate learning the past, but I am not included in that list. Do you like history?

I liked history except to learn the dates of too many battles. That was not the part of history I liked.

I've been trying to keep up with what different paleo archeologists are discovering about humanities past. I was reading today about teeth found in a Chinese cave that are 200,000 years old or older that are remarkably like human teeth now. Very interesting!

@misunderstood_zombie Yes, I'm actually enjoying that. I've always thought humanity goes back further than "experts" claim. Too many Out-Of-Place-Artifacts.

I notice they keep finding things that do not support their current theories. History is hard.

I am fascinated by history. If I could have, I would have taken every history course available in college.

That would have been cool to take all those courses.

Yes, I like history. Sometimes it gets boring but there are authors who can really capture the attention of readers.

I like it a lot also, it's the wars that I find hard to read about.
