Retired couple from Britain kidnapped by US officials and held for six weeks!

In what would once have been sensational news, but is now almost routine, today's Guardian news site reports on Karen Newton (65) and her husband Bill (66), who were on a touring holiday in America, which was meant to finish with a stay in Canada. There don't seem to have been any problems until they were refused entry to Canada over some issue with the paperwork for their car. Turned back by Canadian customs, they had no choice but to go back through US customs. And at that point they were "detained". Although Karen had a perfectly valid tourist visa, Bill had previously worked in the country but his work visa had expired - not particularly relevant you might think, but it gave the bounty hunters who run US border control these days an excuse to detain both of them - with no access to a lawyer, of course. This couple in their sixties were then handcuffed, shackled, and driven to an ICE "detention facility" (concentration camp), where they were seperated and held for six weeks in what sound like quite brutal conditions. Don't go to America until the current regime's got rid of. It's not safe.
