Did I tell you that a couple of weeks ago my side of the electric blanket broke ….well, it did. So, during the week I have. been sleeping on The Misters side……his blanket was working fine ….darn him ! However weekends I moved back and was cold …. Today we went to Dunelm, and bought a new duel control electric blanket. I’m so excited to use it …..i like being warm and cosy. Oh yes, and it was in the sale …. #warmnights

I would have turned the blanket upside down so you had the warm side again.

@Traceyjayne Then sko otch over and crowd the Mister out of his side of the bed. After all, if someone was going to wake up grumpy, would you prefer that to be you?

@DaddyEvil I would really rather we were both warm and neither of us were grumpy .... #happylife

I did think of that but ….. 1. I didn’t want The Mister to be grumpy 2. We have such a deep mattress that I can’t change the bedding on my own

On sale is always a good thing! The last electric blanket I had was 20 years ago, and boy did it shed! My parents had bought it for me for Christmas, and it worked beautifully. Only it caused such a mess! I’d leave the house with fuzz sticking to my clothes.

@Traceyjayne Hey, it’s special. It is perfectly normal to feel that upset.

The one they broke was only five years old. My parents bought it for us when we moved into this house . As I've lost my Dad now somehow the blanket breaking seems more upsetting than it should.

@traceyjayne my aunt and uncle had those dual control blankets but they got the controls mixed up so when she turned her side up she was actually turning his side up making him too hot so he turned what he thought was his side down but only made her side colder colder so she turned his side up even higher …. and so it continued for weeks. Eventually they realised what they had been doing but not before several trips to the electric blanket shop to have it looked at.

It's good you've got dual controls. I never adjust mine the same as Vince's although we don't have one at home. They are often on hotel/motel beds.

During the week it’s just me at home so I only need one side, and at the weekends we like different temperatures so we really did need duel control.

I like warm and cozy but in this country, it's impossible to sleep without an air conditioner.
