A Lot Going On!

Hello. How are you all? As always, I've taken on more than I should! There has been a lot happening recently. Some good, some less good. Some of you know my mum (nannacroc). I don't think she comes here any more. She's been very poorly. She was in hospital for a while but, thankfully, she is now home and recovering. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to visit her in hospital until the day before she came out. I'd been unwell myself... I took two days off work, which is not line me. I'm reluctant to take one! I was also away for a short break. We now have four granddaughters so my husband and I went down to the south coast to spend time with them and to meet the baby for the first time (she's 4 months old). We only spent a day with them (my stepdaughter and the four granddaughters) but we had a good time. We also had a brief meet up with some other family but didn't have time to see everyone. I've also been rehearsing for a show, continuing to volunteer at our local theatre, and volunteering and learning the technical side of theatre at the smaller venue in the next town. I appear to have something of a social life as well, which is new to me It's quite late at night now, and I should be sleeping so I shall leave you here. The image is a wooden 3D puzzle of a sakura (cherry blossom) tree, which I was given for Christmas and have completed over a few sessions this month).

I hope your mum has recovered by now, it's always distressing when someone that close to us is ill.

Thank you. My mum has recovered very well. It was hard at the time, especially feeling like I wasn't much use!

That is good news @pumpkinjam I remember feeling useless a number of times when I couldn't do much for my mum.

I hope your mum is better and that you are feeling better as well. That's a great puzzle.

Mum is much better now she is back home and able to nag my dad again I'm feeling better but have a niggly cough that is really not conducive to rehearsing for a musical I did enjoy the puzzle. I'd not done one like it before. It's very delicate. I did actually break a couple of pieces but I don't think it's noticeable!

I love babies. I love their smell. It was good you were able to spend time with your granddaughters.

I didn't really notice the baby smell but she did fart on my husband as soon as he got hold of her
