Why do you get on social media?

I finally (about 10 years ago) got a Facebook account to see the pictures and updates my sister would post about my nieces and nephew. She said she got tired of sending them to me, and to just sign up for Facebook. So I did. Why do you get on social media?

There are a few sites I like to keep up with. I've never put anything up myself. I'd miss out on information here and there if I wasn't on FB. For instance, the village has a FB site although anything 'official' is sent by email.

@AmbiePam It's a good way for keeping in touch with everyone - or most everyone. There might be a lost dog or a recommendation/request for a electrician or whatever.

I have dozens of online friends on FB. I also have a few relatives and school chums. And I love to look at the animal pictures and videos. I also have a group of people that do surveys and have a page that they can go to.

The only thing I get on this app is free messaging or chatting with my friends. I do not usually check the posted things on the wall. Some of the contents are not appealing to me.

I have a Fakebook account but only use the messaging program there to keep in touch with a couple of friends. Mostly my friends have my phone number so we can text anytime we want.

I used to use Twitter but haven’t been on there in years …I found it a bit boring to be honest. I only use Facebook now ….mainly to stay in touch with family and friends….there are a couple of pages I use ….ninja receipts and info …and a couple of business I folllow.

I usually just keep up with things of interest to me, groups I have joined, or extended family stuff..Games like WWF or just cute reels, I also look at pics of celebrities I am interested in, and also things like focus groups or clinical trials or things like that are often posted on FB.
