Jolof - worth trying.

We ate in a somewhat funky Nigerian restaurant this evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had Jolof rice, beef and fried plantain. I’ve known about jolof rice a long time but never tried it - now I’m going home to make it myself. This is what I like about Edinburgh - quirky places. Tomorrow we have to face the rigours of the airport again. Such a depressing prospect. And it really annoys me that the airlines pose as an industry that puts the paying customer front and centre - nonsense. Everything is designed for the benefit of the airlines, not the paying passenger. But this afternoon was well spent in the Royal Botanical Gardens, just a pity that the experience is sullied by the inclusion of the word Royal. It was a sunny afternoon, even verging towards warm. Drinks were later enjoyed somewhere on Rose Street.
