My Sunday evening routine ….

So The Mister goes away to work Monday to Friday and so I make sandwiches for him to take for his lunch. We go to Tesco and get bread and eggs and milk and then we go to the Polish shop and get meat.
I make 8 lots of sandwiches for The Mister and three days worth for myself.
I also have the hard boil 5 eggs.
I miss him when he is away ….look forward to the weekends ….

Why 5 eggs?
8 lots of sandwiches, that's a lot.
How many slices bread in each lot?

He has 5 eggs as it’s Monday to Friday …
He has one lot of sandwiches around lunchtime and another lot around 4pm.
He has two rounds of bread per lot of sandwiches.
He has enough for 4 days …. Friday he has something else or waits til he gets home….he tends to finish earlier on a Friday.
He starts work around 7.30 and finishes sometimes as late as 7pm.
He has a hot meal at around 8.30pm
He has a very physical job.
When he has finished work he has to drive to the digs ….that can be up to 45 minutes away from where they are working…..then he has to shower, change and get food.

@Ineeddentures it seems a lot of food but it’s a long day and like I say it’s physical work ….
I like having someone to look after ….its a shame he is away all week ….

The break part of my arm is getting stronger ….ive given up on physio, he never got back to me about another appointment and the last session I went to was a waste of time.
I’m still having problems with my lower arm and hand ….my grip isn’t very good …I was trying to help wiping the crockery after Mom did the washing up , last week and my grip suddenly went and I dropped a glass.
Yesturday I was washing up at home and dropped a bowl, it landed on The Misters mug and broken the handle….its in four pieces , but he said he might be able to glue it together …
I still can’t tie my hair back. ….its the silly little things ….

@AmbiePam they really did ….right from the start .
I’m not letting it get me down….i do my own exercises and keep positive…. I know it will take a while, but that’s ok…..

He has different meat each week.
He has milk for cereal …it varies which one he has
He has eggs either at snack time or lunch time …
He has a set of sandwiches as a snack and one for lunch.
It’s not so bad.

That's an easy way to deal with his meals and much cheaper than if he bought his meals.

Oh yes, it’s a lot cheaper. He does cook for himself in the evening….he has an air fryer that he takes with him…..it’s usually chips, I know it’s not the healthiest….then he does steak or gammon and eggs or pork chops and usually peas. It’s still cheaper than eating out all the time.

Hubby worked 2nd and 3rd shift for years. We only saw each other on the weekends. I hated it.

@Traceyjayne Yes, I feel we got cheated out of a lot of years of our marriage because of that.
