Why would he live like that?

So I was in a neighbour's house the other day delivering a parcel that we took in for him
He lives like a pig.
How house is a mess
It stinks of piss
It's dirty
Bags of rubbish lying every where.
Cig ends on the floor
A sinkful of dirty dishes
He wasn't the least embarrassed about the state of the place
First time I had seen it
It's not like he is stupid,
He is always clean looking and doesn't himself smell that I noticed.
So why would he live like that?
Why the hell would anyone live like that
Any ideas

Mayybe they sad, maybe they just do not understand how bad its got. I seen people just throw crap everywhere and go I will get that in a minute. Sometimes its careless and distracted and sometimes its just people sad, do not care anymore. Sometimes it is a strategy, if it keeps people out of my house. They want to be left alone that much., which I group with sad.

There may be so many reason why people live like that. What came first into my mind is that they are lazy, depressed, or may be that's what they are even during their childhood. It's really frustrating to think that there are people like that.

I wonder if some people love to live at such a dirty space. Don't they have time to clean it As a teenager I had come across an elderly man who had just a single room and hemanage to keep it neat and clean.
