A woman who left a dog at the Harry Reid Airport in Las Vegas Nevada on Monday February 2 since she did not have the paperwork to have her dog registered as a service dog for the flight.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Officer Skeeter Black and his family decided to adopt the dog that was left at the Terminal 3 of the ticket counter out of the kindness of his heart.
Several airport employees named the dog "JetBlue" after the airline company when animal control stepped in and took the dog to an animal shelter for a period of 10 days to see if JetBlue's former owner would claim her dog back to her which was rejected since she did not want her dog back.
JetBlue was taken by Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas when Officer Black was able to adopt JetBlue as his family pet.
JetBlue Airlines and an anonymous donor made a donation of $6,000 dollars to the Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas to assist the charity to stay in business.

How dare that woman just abandon her dog like that! That makes me so angry.

That's so sweet. I don't know why people have to be mean to animals but thankfully the puppy has a new loving home.

That looks like a nice dog, and it was good that it found a new home.
The original owner should have done a better check of what was required to travel with a dog, beforehand, but to just abandon her dog like that sounds like a pretty desperate move too, as she might have been flustered, and had to catch her flight, and did not want to miss her flight.
