There was a short rain yesterday morning. It made quite a lot of the moringa flowers fall to the ground. Even last night more. flowers dropped . I asked the children of the family to pick them up as much as they could. In half an hour they gathered a bowlful and submitted to the community kitchen. Moringa flowers can be cooked in more than one different ways. They can be added to green leaf vegetable, fried lightly. They can be fried into cutlets, mixed with besan ( gram powder), onion, chilli with a little of spices like turmeric and coriander leaves. Perhaps you already know moringa leaves contain medicinal properties, so do its flowers. Just this morning someone said, they are useful in lowering high blood pressure.

Yes, some of the Indians on myLot have talked about the moringa leaves being used in cooking and as medicine. They never mentioned the flowers, though.

It can also use to purify water. It makes the muddy water clear and clean. I have done it when I was in my home country as we had Moringa trees in my yard.

@thelme55 I've seen pictures of moringa trees and wish they grew here, too.

You are lucky enough to have a moringa tree in your garden. I had one that got uprooted in a storm.

I love moringa. It’s superfood. I can only eat it when I am in the Philippines. Moringa doesn’t grow here in Germany.
