Spreading joy!

I have been enjoying watching the spring flowers outside my window appearing, growing and opening day by day, slowly and yet not slowly either. And now I can see that not only are the original groups of bulbs thriving, but that our infrequent grass-mowing seems to be allowing them to spread.
In the picture you can (hopefully) see the pool of purple and white crocuses around the base of the plum tree in the background. Our predecessors planted a ring of spring bulbs around every tree. But then you can see they are slowly spreading all around the place. Hellebores (a few are just visible under the bush on the right) are also colonising the shady patch right outside the window.
I love spring flowers.
I also hate mowing grass, so this really is a win-win situation!

We had flowering plants all over the yard at our last house. I loved seeing them bloom in spring before we had to start mowing. When we moved to this house, I planted some flowers in the flowerbed first and then didn't continue planting anything. So that is the only place we have flowers here.
I'm really hoping the clover seed Pretty spread around the yard will grow and crowd out the grass and weeds here. I don't feel like mowing anymore and Pretty never has wanted to take care of a yard.

Nothing blooming or growing here yet. Still too cold. Spring is in 23 more days I think
