I wasn't entirely honest about this

So, when I was doing my mystery shop the other day, the guy who waited on me who was the manager was wearing a logoed brand shirt as they are allowed to do, plus a jacket and work pants of some sort, not khaki but something perhaps a janitor would wear. The ensemble was OK, but the shirt was somewhat wrinkled. Like he had just grabbed it out of the laundry to come to work. One of the questions was about professional appearance..I really should have mentioned about the shirt, but they would have asked questions about the mystery shop..would have had me edit it etc. Plus, I mean he didn't look horrible, just could have been better. I mean he's been there 4 years and did everything else well..why harp on something? Bottom line I didn't want to deal with the repercussion, besides how serious is it really?

I'm glad you didn't mention it, maybe he was having a tough day before coming to work. We never know, but you saved him a headache I'm sure.

I wouldn't have worried about it. It was clean at least.

Whatever I said, probably wouldn't have made a difference anyway. The guy just might have been more scrutinized..and the rest of his job was impeccable as far as I could tell.

@snowy22315 his shirt may just have been a one off that day …. As long as his work was good no point in getting him into trouble …..

I guess, or something. Like I said, as far as I could tell he did the rest of his job expertly.

Doesn't make a very good impression; but I might not have mentioned it.

I think many people today just grab a shirt out of the dryer and that's it for them. So good idea not mentioning it.

I think it was one of those days when he lost motivation to look perfect at work

Probably got more on his mind than ironing a shirt
I would have forgot about the wrinkles
