We all shre our experiences and feelings here in the form of discussions, and other users respond to them.
Some discussions recieve 10 or even more responses whereas some others end up recieving only one or two.
I often ask myself, what qualities a discussion should have to attract more responses.
What do you think??

I am not sure about this.
I would have thought that it was in all our interests to reply to as many posts as we can , and let's face it we all have enough life experiences to be able to add at least something to most posts.
So it does disappoint me when I see posts basically ignored
My posts don't have much quality about them at all to be honest, and they do alright.
I'm a bit rough and ready and my style of writing confirms.this
Sometimes that is all you need

I love your posts. They are so interesting and make me burst into laughter. If sometimes I fail to respond to your posts, it is just because of lack of time. I once again say, I love your posts.

@Ineeddentures Thank you. No problem, I'm not in a hurry. What matters is that we are active here.

You are right Mylot is all about interaction. But what are the qualities of a discussion that attracts other user to respond to it?? I think, it is an interesting point raised in it, easy-to-understand language, and the number of users whose posts you respond to. The big the number, the more responses your post will recieve.

I respond, or try to respondnbto your posts. I can say your posts are wonderful. Sometimes I fail to understand what you want to say. It is only because of my little knowledge of the English language.I read them, try to understand, but lack of time prevents me from staying here for a long time..

@AmbiePam Thank you, my friend. But I think I'm not as active here as I want to be. This is because of my busy schedule.
Thanks again for liking my posts.

A person needs to stick around long enough to respond to SOME of the responses right away and respond to others when they come back to myLot. Talking on other people's discussions also helps as the other person is more likely to consider you a friend if you usually talk with them on their discussions, too.
People who are rarely here or are new-ish to myLot usually get fewer responses.

Thank you. You are right. Thousands of discussions are posted everyday. If your post is not seen, it would not be responded no matter how good content it has.

@rakski I have observed too long discussions attract less views.

@Shivram59 Consider yourself lucky that at least one post had a response. I wouldn’t bother with them anymore.

I know. There are many users like that. One of them is the one whose post I had responded to a month ago, but he is nowhere now. I responded to as many as five posts by him, but one of my response was commented back.

i think we get responses here in mylot because we also respond to the discussion of those who responded to us.

Thank you. On mylot the rule of give and takke prevails. The more discussions you respond to, the more comments you recieve and the more you earnm

You never know how a post is going to do when you write it. Sometimes what you write about you think oh this should get lots of interaction, but it doesn’t. And sometimes you write something and think nobody will care probably but then many responses come in.
Sometimes a short post that was quick to write will get a lot of interaction but a post that’s long that took a lot of time to write does not.
