Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 33 degrees F and sunny here at the Jersey Shore. There is a fog warning but it looks clear out there to me. Thankfully it looks like the predicted snowstorms will just be rain. I am so sick of the snow.
I woke up at the usual time today even though it is Saturday. My body is on the work schedule. I turned on the news, saw Trump attacked Iran, and decided that I just couldn't deal with that so I switched the TV over to the Food Network. I haven't watched that in awhile. Eventually I will put on Outlander. I'm trying to refresh my memory of season 7 before the last season starts next Friday. I will be really sad when the series finishes.
No big plans for the day. My goal is to clear out the fridge, take out the garbage, and meal prep lunches for the coming week. I want to clean some carpet too. I know it all sounds so exciting.

Good morning. It is 50F in my part of Missouri this morning. We're supposed to reach a high of 75F today but we're also supposed to get rain/storms this afternoon so who knows what our afternoon temp will really reach.
The construction guy came day before yesterday, bringing the two replacement storm windows to replace the ones that didn't work last summer. The new ones fit perfectly and work well. 
While he was here, I asked him to check out one of the storm windows in the kitchen. It rattled every time the wind blew from the East. He put shims behind it which stopped the rattling.
My bedroom and the living room still get too hot when the sun is setting so I talked to Pretty about getting an estimate for window films to block the heat from the sun. There is a glass place here in our city that can put film on the windows or change the glass if that's what we want. We asked them to come check out those two windows and give us estimates for the needed work. (I'm positive replacing the glass will be too expensive but window film that blocks/reflects the heat should be good enough.)
I went outside yesterday and can see the new clover sprouting all over the front yard. (I didn't go out for long. I had a migraine early yesterday so took a muscle relaxant to help ease the pain. I wasn't steady enough on my feet after that to do much walking around, especially outside.)
Pretty wants to go shopping in the new-to-us King Food Saver grocery store without me today. (I'll drive her there and read in the car while she shops.) I would like some more of their battered and deep fried chicken strips to stick in the freezer but don't need anything else there.
I watched/read some of the news about the air strikes this morning.

@NJChicaa We are renting this house. We got a government grant for improvements for it. We aren't paying for anything except the clover seeds we're spreading in the yard.

I was hoping yesterday you got a lot of rest since you weren’t around. Of course, you might have just gotten tired of us too. 
Yeah, I saw the war news. Decided to skip the details for now at least. I’m about to get a pedicure with my stepmom and then lunch with my dad for a pre-birthday “celebration”. Since they’ll be out of town tomorrow. My feet really need it. They be sad!
