I just read, that according to a World Happiness ranking study, the Islamic Republic of Iran is among the unhappiest countries in the world. The Iranian regime also apprehends people making dancing videos, exercising freedom of expression, and practicing their faith outside of Islam among other activities that Iranian citizens find happiness in. From 2013, they were already the second country amoung the unhappiest. what about now.
I am just wondering now, since they are involve in the US-Israel Conflict. What will happen next? Maybe a change in their leadership or government is really needed to be happy again? What do you think?

It's also depend on the locations. It’s true some countries have stricter rules, but many Islamic-majority countries are more liberal in some areas than people realize. Like for example dubai, its liberal

@sjvg1976 True, the UAE is more open in some ways, but it still has its own cultural boundaries. I guess every country has things that are more conservative

@cuttyrish Yes, UAE is a liberal country compared to other islamic countries. But still most of the countries have strict rules especially against the females.

Hard to be 'World's Happiest' when the rules are that intense, right? Definitely a lot of nuance there, but the general picture is pretty clear.

Afghanistan’s been through a lot. I think it’s more complicated than just changing leaders

@cuttyrish - Of course, if you want to watch a good movie about Afghanistan and what happened through the years I suggest "Charlie Wilson's War". An American politician tried to explain that to change a country you need to build, hospitals, schools, good infrastructure, bombing and running away serves no purpose.

Well that was in 2013.
I wouldn't think I would really believe that stuff too much
I say that because I don't see North Korea on that list
Well the change in leadership they will now have will probably make them more unhappy that people in Afghanistan under the Taliban
Why is Afghanistan not on that list?
