Unlike the 1976 songs, at least you remember the band who does today’s 1986 song. It’s hard to believe these songs are that old. Didn’t I just buy this album last week? Anyway, let’s jump back 40 years for this song. Battleship Chains - Georgia Satellites Maybe I heard “Keep Your Hands to Yourself,” the song you normally associate with Georgia Satellites, 60,000,000,000 too many times to use it. Or maybe I always liked this song better. I really did like this song better. It’s a simple two-chord rocker about love and lust. And, for an album cut, it’s made the rounds. Lead singer Dan Baird’s first band, the Woods, also recorded this; and the Warren Zevon-led version of R.E.M. (minus Michael Stipe) covered it on their after-hours Hindu Love Gods album.
