The bees are waking up!

It’s definitely spring, for the past few days I’ve been seeing bumblebees out and about and even a butterfly or two. I had a surprise this morning when I went to get my wash-bag from the bathroom and found this big queen bumblebee resting on it! I don’t know whether she had flown in through the window yesterday or whether she had found a hidden place to hibernate all winter without us noticing. Anyway she looked as if she needed a bit of a pick-me-up so I carefully carried her outside and found these Mahonia flowers which I know bumblebees like. She stayed on the bag without moving as I carried her through the house but once she saw/smelt the flowers she seemed quite eager to investigate those.
