New York Police Department (NYPD) officer Joseph Wetzel who was off duty in Hauppauge New York recently when he took action to pull a driver out of his vehicle that was involved in an auto accident that was overturned on Wednesday February 4 when an SUV auto collided with a sedan.
Officer Wetzel told a Hauppauge police officer that he was a police officer and he wanted to rescue a motorist who was trapped inside of one of the autos.
Officer Wetzel broke a window so that he was able to get a motorist out of the auto safely.
Three persons were transported from the scene of the accident. Officer Wetzel is currently battling cancer. That makes him a real hero.
