One thing sis and I both liked was this talking Woody the Woodpecker puppet. You pulled his string and he would say a funny phrase. There were about 12 of them..and we memorized them all. We both still remember them all..and will say them sometimes to make each other laugh It was just a silly thing, but fun.

Was it always the same phrase? Or did he mix it up with different ones.. My favorite toy was this life-size baby doll with big blue eyes. I carried her around everywhere and truly believed she was my child. Because she looked like me, even her face shape. She was an extra-large doll, possibly toddler sized. I just remember protecting her like she was my own, which is ironic because I never really wanted kids. Her name was Ox-Doll. I still have her in storage

No, I said there were 12 of them..different phrases. I had a favorite doll from ages about 3 to 6. I didn't play with dolls a whole lot after that, with a few notable exceptions.

@snowy22315 Oh, I thought you had 12 different Woody puppets. Cool, so one said 12 different things. Did you guys try to guess which one he’d say next? I played with Ox-Doll till I was 13. Abnormal - most likely

That reminds me of my Urkel doll. You pulled the string on its back and it said, I’ve fallen, and I can’t get up, or Got any cheese?, or Did I do that? My dad threw it away about five years ago (it was in his garage). I was disappointed. I also loved my Skip It, but it was murder on my shins.

An Urkel doll sounds really funny. Not sure what happened to Woody.

That sounds like a funny little toy. I had a doll that Santa brought to me when I was very young, and she had a string that I could pull and she would say something. I just loved to play with that little dolly.

Sis had a cool doll with a carrying case that turned into a dollhouse, with accessories, but she didn't talk. It was a Barbie knock off called Heidi

Those kinds of toys are cute. I had a slinky dog. That was fun to play with.

My doll was my favourite toy. I think I didn’t have any other toy in my childhood.
