Will I be receiving mice, baby sparrows, and fence lizards soon?

I just saw a red squirrel descending the redwood tree next to my balcony. Is this a reminder that Spring is at hand here?
I hear various birds chirping courtship songs outside. The doves are gone (I don't know why), but the sparrows and swallows remain.
Will Kitty be bringing me "presents" soon? Time will tell. She has gotten kind of lazy in her old age, but she probably still wants to contribute to our household earnings.

I have three trees just outside my window. I enjoy watching the family of squirrels that live in them. I saw a crow yesterday and the turkeys come through from time to time. I share a pic of them last week.
My mom once told me a story about our newly acquired ginger cat bringing her a mouse. It proceeded to chase it and crunch on it for hours. Makes me shudder to recall this tale.
