A Chance for a Second Chance

Personally, I do not give a second chance if someone has betrayed me seriously. It is my personality not to trust him or her again easily. He or she needs to work for it before forgiveness will happen. You might think that I am too sensitive; I must admit that I am. How do you handle betrayal? Image Credit: thefamilytherapyclinic.com

I usually don't give second chances if someone betrays my trust. I rarely talk to them again after that happens. And you are NOT being too sensitive!

I also do the same thing. However, if they are in my bloodline, it is not that easy. For the reason that I can still see them. But then, it can still apply to those relatives who betrayed us.

@Shavkat Even with relatives, I don't have to invite them to my house or talk to them if they show up uninvited. I simply don't answer my door. They can't force me to talk to them.

Oh betrayal is bad No second chances from me If someone betrays me once I know that they will do it again So they get no chance

I give second chances, but just because I give second chances doesn’t mean I automatically trust again.

You have a point. If trust was broken, then it cannot bring the ugly truth to trust them again.

I am kind of a sensitive soul and not that much of a perfectionist in making friends or having relationships with others. Being honest with respect is a perfect combo to maintain a good relationship.
