A night on the town

Last night we attended a very grand function in Perth, Western Australia. Our friends who live about ten houses away in our village have a very successful plumbing business. Their three sons now run the company and last night they celebrated fifty years of business. There were about 300 in attendance. We were treated to an excellent meal with quality wines. A troupe of acrobatic dancers gave a floor show then a six-piece band took over for dancing. Dress for the occasion was formal and the young ladies had gone all out with their lovely gowns. In addition, we were all given these drink bottles. They have a ‘chug’ top, ‘chug’ being a word I haven’t heard used for a long time. While a bit big for day-to-day use, they’d be great to keep soup hot for a picnic.

Sounds like a great time! The Bottles look nice but their usage can vary from person to person.

The bottles are a bit big just to take with you day to day but I'm sure we'll use them from time to time.

I'm sure we'll use them from time to time although they're a bit big just to take when you go out.

@JudyEv You may find them handy to have in the motorhome for when you need a fair amount of water and are on the road and not at a site where you have hook ups.

Our Uber pulled up behind a mini-bus and all these beautiful people got out! I thought there must have been a wedding there too but no, they were all headed the same place as us.

That was some party! I am glad you had a nice time and a great meal. I am glad you had fun! Those Yeti tumblers are pricy! My daughter thought she wanted one, but since they were over $30 at the time, she said she changed her mind. They keep hot stuff hot and cold stuff cold for a long time--great for a trip.

Thanks. Vince found some for $A60 each which is a huge cost when there are 300 guests. They have the company name on them too which would be an added expensie.
