Wow, it’s too bad that Rumours didn’t come out in 1976 or I could have a song on the 50-year-old list with the same song title as one on the 40-year-old list!
I know you’re tired from the time change, but today’s song from 1986 should wake you up.
Dreams - Van Halen
Oh, the things I learn. Now, I’m not a big Van Halen fan…basically “Jump” and the hits from the Sam Halen era. So these aren’t things I read. Foreigner’s Mick Jones produced this album. He said that he pushed Sammy Hagar’s amazing vocal performance on this song to the point where Hagar almost passed out from hyperventilating.
Hagar did an acoustic version of this song that is a 180 from this hit version, but it’s no less terrific. This is easily my favorite Van Halen song, and one of my favorite hard rock songs.
Dreams
Written by Michael Anthony, Sammy Hagar, Alex Van Halen, and Eddie Van Halen

Gabrielle.
Her song Dreams was very good
But it didn't appear until 1993
Just thought I would add that
Jump, I remember that one
And everyone doing a Jump during the song
I never jumped

That was Van Morrison.
BTW, that’s one of the best songs ever. I’ve often said that if anyone offered me a billion dollars to never listen to the Moondance album again I’d just laugh at them.

I’m generally not, either, which is why it’s easy to pick a favorite song of theirs.
You might prefer the acoustic version.

Dob’t know about today’s, and you won’t care for the ‘76 song. But thanks for stopping by!

Well, the minute I turn up the speakers he's off, he already knows he's not gonna like my dancing
