Dealing with Hip Pain

Hi All, the last two weeks have been uncomfortable for me. It seems that I have a pinched nerve in my hip, and it hurts to walk, so I have been staying in most of the time. A couple of times that I have had to go out to do things, it has been very uncomfortable.
I am lucky that my husband can go to the grocery store and that I currently don't have to go to work (still no job results - not even an interview), so it's pretty easy to stay at home. However, I am sad to report that I was unable to deliver my artwork to the gallery last week, and so I will not be in this month's show, after all. Hopefully, I will be recovered in time to have some work in the next show.
In the meantime, I can at least sit comfortably, so I have been able to do some writing and artwork. I finished the small collage with pieces of text from my antique book and a little bit of drawn embellishment, so here is a picture of that. I hope everyone is well!

I'm sorry to hear about your hip. My left knee has been very painful but today I've had an ice-pack on it most of the afternoon and it does seem to have helped. I really don't want to have a knee replacement. I hope your hip improves soon.

Thank you, and I hope your knee feels better, too! I get knee pain sometimes, as well, so I know it can really slow you down. A knee replacement might not be as bad as you think - I have heard from friends who have had joint replacements that they absolutely LOVE them and feel like they have a fresh start. I do understand your reluctance, though!

@AliCanary My sister-in-law has just had hers replaced and it didn't go well at all so that's probably put me off a bit. She was in a lot of pain.

@JudyEv oh, that's too bad! I had knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus back in July 2019, and it took a very long time to recover.

I'm sorry about your hip. I hope you feel 100% soon. I also hope that you find a job soon.
Love the collage.

Thank you! I have been spending a little more time here now that I am no longer working full time.
