I Would Have Thought the Answer Would Be Different

I think that most of us know of Stephen King and many have read or watched many of his books and movies. I would have thought the answer would have been him but come to find out that the most prolific novelist was Agatha Christie. She is quite famous but come find out according to the Guinness Book of World Records she is the bestselling novelist of all time. It is estimated that she has sold two billion copies of her books around the world. She is known as the "Queen of Mystery" and has written 66 detective novels and 14 short-story collections. I would think that King would surely surpass those. But it is said she rivals those the Bible and William Shakespeare.

I used to read a lot of Agatha Christie books from 5th grade until I was in high school. I used to borrow her books in our school library. Never bought a copy of my own.

I see a lot of the same names appearing in our library shelves. Some writers are certainly prolific.
