Gas prices are all over the place

So, I thought I made out pretty well this morning getting gas for 3.19. However, when I was outside the city I saw a sign that they had gas for 2.50! I didn't get a chance to thoroughly read the sign, but usually something like that requires at least at 10 gallon fill up. However, that would only be 25.00, not like the 91 I saw somebody on TV paying.

@snowy22315 Taxes play a part but all countries have fuel duties Refineries, we had a huge one in Scotland that just closed We have oil and gas fields we don't drill and extract oil and gas from because of the need to get to net ******* zero It's a mess And we have the highest fuel prices in the world just about Christ Scotland has the Oil Capital of Europe Makes my blood boil so it does

My husband told me that we could hit $2/L but right now they are around $1.60. My husband usually burns about $20/week on gas, but now I imagine that is more like about $30.

@snowy22315 We usually pay less than $1.30/L And remember a L is about 1/5 of a US gallon.

Hubs filled up just before gas prices rose. I never fill the car myself, so have no idea what it costs. $3.19 seems like a very good price.

People have been panic buying here and now farmers can't get fuel for their cropping programs or supermarkets are having trouble keeping up with supply.

Hmm, don't think panic has hit here yet. I did buy a 5 gallon gas can though.

I always look at the prices, looking for a bargain, and that was before this catastrophe.

I know gas has gone up here but I don't know by how much. My daughter will probably fill up on Sat when she is going to her friends.

It is up on average probably 40 cents per gallon, but it may just be getting started.
