I Dropped Off A Few Items at the Consignment Store

They seem to only take 1/2 of the items I bring to them. They're very picky. Every item has to be in tip-top shape without wear or tear and in style and in season.
I had a bag of about 8 pair of shoes (sandals) from mother-in-law but the consignment store only accepted 3 pair.
I had two new items still with tags on them that I bought online that weren't quite what I wanted and they weren't returnable so I thought I'd try selling them. They accepted both of those items.
Do you consign any items?

No, we donate things we don't want/don't need.

No, I have never seen this here in Scotland the Brave.
Would I do it, probably not.
I would most likely take all the stuff to a car boot sale in my neighbour's car on a lovely sunny Sunday and sell it all in one go.

No, I don’t consign. I usually just hold a garage sale once a year when I do a big clean-out at home. Anything we don’t use anymore but is still in good condition, I sell. Some things I donate or give away. Consignment stores here are pretty picky with brands, condition, and demand. Some of them even focus mostly on luxury brands.
