Mother’s Day lunch is planned……

So, this Sunday, here in the UK, it is Mothers Day.
As my Mom is still suffering with shingles she doesn’t want to go out for a meal ….so we have asked her to come to us.
So far ….and this might be subject to change …..but I will do prawn cocktail for starters , very 70’s , but a favourite of my Moms.
Main will be steak, mushrooms, small roasted potatoes, onion rings….cooked by The Mister .
Pudding will be my own brioche bread and butter pudding ….with added secret ingredient , which may or may not be alcoholic based.
I have Brie and crackers to complete the meal ….
Then coffee ….
What do you think of the menu ?

Sounds totally yummy. Your Mother will be pleased. Is she feeling any better? I know how long it took for me to feel "better".

She is still in pain , she has finished her tablets now , but the rash has started to blister ….apparently that’s a good sign.

@LindaOHio oh that’s a good idea ….i know she didn’t wear her bra for a couple of days because it rubbed and made it sore.

@Traceyjayne Yes. I wore one of my husband's T-shirts under my bra to work so that the blisters wouldn't stain my top.

Thank you ….it’s no trouble really …she is well worth it.
I do make my own seafood sauce ….i like to make things from scratch and not use shop bought.

If that's ok with her health that's very yummy.
Anyway my parents doctors said that they can eat anything but not too much of anything. hehehe but its a good thing that they can still eat their favorites once in a while like crabs and other seafoods. Lol!

That's a wonderful menu. Your Mum will be stoked. I'll probably get a call from the 'Irish' son but it's not Mothers' Day here till May.
